Annual Well Woman Exam
The well-woman exam is a key part of preventive care that the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommends you have once yearly. This exam consists of an evaluation of your general health and an exam of your breasts and pelvic (reproductive) organs. With this exam, your physician:
- Looks for health problems in their early stages
- Discusses health risks and ways to avoid them
- Performs and/or orders appropriate screening tests
- May address any gynecologic concerns or questions you may have
